Unless your insurance plan specifically has transgender exclusions, our office is quite adept at working with most insurance plans. After your initial visit with Dr. Satterwhite and the surgical team at Align, you will have a consultation with our financial advisor, who will provide in-depth information on the insurance process. Our goal is to make the process as easy as possible for you.

A picture or copy of the front and back of your insurance card.
Updates on any change to your insurance
If you have more than one insurance policy, let us know which one is legally designated as primary (contact your insurance companies to determine this if you do not know).
If you have an HMO plan, we need an updated referral from your assigned Primary Care Physician within 90 days of your surgery date.

- VIRTUAL CONSULTATIONS: we continue to be busy with phone and video visits providing access to all patients interested in gender confirming surgery
- FOLLOW UPS: we continue to provide needed care for our existing patients by phone and video, and in person when medically appropriate
- SURGERY: while we cannot currently perform surgery due to the shelter in place, we continue booking surgeries for future dates
